Hands off the 525s ...
Sadly the boat has not sold as yet, which means we may have to use it this year
No plans to do anything around P1, but think we may come out to play in the endurance races if I can persuade Jackie to do that dunk test again
Hopefully we'll see some of you out there too

Would be great to see you guys out there again, none of the politics in Endurance racing we just let FB win as long as he buys dinner in the prospect.

I guess it is in this economic climate.
My personal problem with buying this boat is
If you win a race your expected to win
if you don't you just chucked thousands of pounds at a weekend
And lets face it this sport doesn't have millionairess intersted in powerboat racing otherwise the sport would be booming

Heard it's heading back in to the P1 arena next year. Full frontal attack in the production class from what I heard at Southampton boat show. Harnesses out, hand throttle in.... twin 600 SCI's.

I thought it didn't fit the rules any more?

On listening to the P1 radio this year they kept saying it was all change for Super Sport next year and it implied it was all out racing no holes barred except for weighting which if so is about time as they desperately hanker after the US boat manufactures that have kept them going and it was plain to see the lack of their enthusiasm for this class that was slower, and with a tenth of the boats at any of their pleasure boat run poker events and anyway the star of this years Super Sport in my book were the American Donzi boats faster and more agile than the competition
why change to driver and throtleman have they not got the coordination of Jackie who could do it all and win in all conditions ... poor show

Got in touch with P1 about this and this is what they had to say:
"The rules have been amended slightly for production boats to reflect the natural changes that are coming to the market but we haven’t relaxed the ‘production requirements’ rules."
Once the dust has settled from the UIM meeting they will publish the official full rules for next year.

I must admit if it were me up there running the Super Sport series I would be very very nervous and keen to get it back on track, I am sure P1 office people know the score and if they don't then they should find a new job that way they can surf facebook/twiter all they want as they clearly don't surf what's relevant. I also think as rumours pop up Honda joining perhaps another class added they are throwing things around in desperation and personally I have enjoyed following P1 over the years although not much this year hopefully this will change
PS ... just my take on things
