and the one for sale above.
The base design is good & well proven both down under & by Shetland here in the UK there are some of those in circulation
I think problems started when the owner mounted a 300xs on the boat. 300hp plus and 230kg is a different animal than a 2.5 which weighs 180kg

Dont know if the transoms was designed to hold a 300xs... If it was not it's not surprising that it cracked.

the white one on ebay was built for someone who wanted to self build, then took up drift racing so never looked at it, he contacted me 12 months ago to see if i knew anyone interested in taking it.
My black one was fine when racing a 2.5??
The yellow one was rebuilt inside due to a ruptured fuel tank! And if there were any issues with transom that would be down to the verado hanging on it.
Mr rob's? Ask him.
There's one in brixham which has been used for 2 seasons no problems.
The first 700 seems to be holding up ok after being launched into a farmers field and a season ski racing.

Unless i'm otherwise instructed i am finishing the 700's before a career change.

All the best

Yeh but ******* when?

Mine has been in the mould for as long as I can remember, I have given you every opportunity to finish it and so has Mike (the factory owner).

I have bailed you out enough times when you needed some extra money 'for the project', I even bought my own materials so why have you not finished it?

I could not conduct business myself as you have and still have the balls to post on here, let alone make false promises of finishing boats when you have no intention of doing so.
The last 3 years waiting for this boat has been a complete waste of my time and what do I have to show for it?

You have cost me alot of money, money which I could have used for something else.

Either finish the boat completely or piss off and leave.
Another year Gav and still no boat.

I await your lame excuse of a reply.

Fitting the 300XS just speeded things up Glen , the transome was completly rotten inside due to bad wood inside the transom , and bad laminating the to and botom hull at the transome , the wood wich was used in the transome i only use for a roof on a shed
Also there was a epmty hole in the transome wich was only filed with resin no polyester mat at all .
Here are some pictures of the repair , look at it and weep !
I dont think i have to remind anybody this boat was 1,5 year old when the transome gave way .......

Here are some more picture's of the transome repair .
It's brand new and has had some worse pounding in 5bf on the waddenzee without any problems , there are some very small stresscracs but they dont get any biger so far .

So i would like to worn people to inspect the transome of the white one wich is for sale right now , if that's one of the first Gav build it could be worse than mine !
