Aerospace spec Adhesive Lined Heatshrink.
Hello all, not been around much lately due to Work and Family commitments getting in the way, however I’ve been doing some work on my boat and have ended up with this heatshrink going spare.
This is top quality adhesive lined heatshrink, with a big shrink ratio and exceptional protective properties. It’s also Flame retardant and approved by Boeing.
It’s not available to the general public in the UK, and is usually only available in large quantities to aerospace users.
Suitable for use in harsh environments, as the tubing shrinks, the adhesive lining melts and flows to fill all voids and create a complete seal against moisture, oils, chemicals and other fluids.
Full spec:-
Adhesive-Lined, Polyolefin Heat-Shrinkable Tubing.
Size 1 - 11.56mm ID in expanded state – as supplied.
Size 2 – 17.79mm ID in expanded state – as supplied.
4:1 shrink ratio.
Shrink temperature 135°C.
Flame-retardant tubing jacket and adhesive provide full flame-retardancy.
Mechanically tough, the tubing provides strain relief and abrasion protection of wire splices, terminals and other components.
Thick high-performance adhesive lining offers permanent sealing of splices, fusible links, terminals and in-line components
RoHS compliant
I have 25 x 1200mm lengths supplied in an expanded state of 11.56mm ID, and just 5 x 1200mm lengths of the same spec but supplied in an expanded state of 17.79mm ID.
Obviously the 1200mm long lengths go a long way when cut into shorter lengths for sealing cable joints and connections.
The 11.56mm ID is £6 per length, and the 17.79mm ID is £7.50 per length.
Unfortunately I’m going to have to add £1 to each batch sent out to cover some of the postage costs.
Nasher.
