Anybody Want My Boat For FREE?
Ok, don't panic, I'm not talking about the Phantom!
Here's a little Dateline thats been sitting up at my parents place since it was last used (an eternity ago). By the end of next week it'll be the property of the scrap man; but I thought I'd put it up on here incase anybody fancied a wee project.
As you can see its very tired (prolly needs a new floor) & i'm not even sure he wheel bearings would tow any distance.....................
but anyways, its there if someone wants it.

How can you threaten that poor little thing with the scrap man! I can almost see the tears in its eyes.

Hi,
Do you have any more pictures of the boat? (if so could you put them up)
Also does it come with the 50 yammy? and does it come with any steering, control box or control cables etc.
Thanks,
Max

the boats very much as you see it, i.e tired, faded, no motor or rigging.......... and need of work. As I said, i'd not even be confident the wheel bearings would get you that far.
its in havering, essex.

I am 95% sure i bought that boat at the boat show in the mid 70,s. The reason i am so sure is because i put the wooden slats on the deck either side of the engine well as they were not standard on the boat. I also put some on the front deck but i can,t tell if they are there from the photo. If not there should be some holes through the deck where i bolted them through.
I put a Crescent 700 on it at first then i bought a brand new 80hp blueband Merc for it. it was a flier & i used to ski race with it & raced it in the smaller class with the 16ft phantoms with 85hp Yamaha,s in the North West series that was running at the time
Moved to Tenby in Wales & sold it in 1982/3 & i think it went to the south coast
Have you got any history on it?
