Bat Boat for sale
Thought I'd bring you guys a picture of this. I was in the pound today.
Seems a shame for this boat to miss out on a season just because people might not know its for sale.
Best contact Terry Mills for the finer details.
Send me a PM if you need his Number
Steve

I honestly dont know.
I'd just like to see it out there again. I was out in it a couple of times and it was good.
Catch the right person in the right mood though and you get the right deal.
Its missed a season and sat around for a year.
Heres a boat that made chamionship position sitting idle.
Competatively and financially that must be a good starting point for someone

cookee from what i know the v24 is the in board version of a back draft but with a b23 deck on it.
but the only real big differrnce is the wing size.

From what I know a V24 has absolutly nothing whatsoever to do with a backdraft, which by the way was only made as a 22

Correct, the Backdraft was 'splashed' from an original B22, which is a world apart from a B23.
Same as Large it/Wave slave.
It was only the running surface that was splashed, and the whole deck/wings bit was made from scratch, although it does of course resemble the original form.
As far as I know, the hull/wings of a B23 and a V24 are identical, the only real difference being the addition of the canopy/engine cover.
But I'd happily stand corrected.

That was Waveslave 2!
Waveslave was the Ian Cutler boat that was then raced by Charles Gardiner in 2 litre (offshore 2000 etc) before Bob Lewthwaite raced it in 2 litre as Waveslave. He then bought my old Mobil 1 boat and re-named it Wavelslave 2.
The first waveslave then became the Pwertrucks 1.3L boat. I drove it as a 2L boat on a test day and it was a complete handful and needed a lot of sorting out. Very light for an offshore 2 litre so set-up was all important and it did'nt have any!

B23/ V24
There is a difference between the B23 and the V24 wings. B23s have a very narrow profile wing that is not removable. The original V24s on the other hand have a much thicker wing section at the base. The outer sections of the wing then being removable with four bolts to aid road transport. The running surfaces are very slightly different, but are the same length.
The V24 gets it's new name as there is the overhang on the transom for the rear cockpit extension, vertical fin and exhaust mounting area. V24's are of course also considerablyheavier, hence the good rough water performance.
