That's odd, the photo is of 'BEN' (boatmad member) in the 32' Velocity The Reefer, and the only bidder (even tho' the seller said 'don't bid') appears to be Marc Lamont (V-24 racer, and member of boatmad)....very confusing!!

correction:

It may not actually be Ben in the boat, i can't remember if he ran in that boat at Torquay '97, which is where I think that pic was taken.

Yip,

Got his attention.

He is using a picture of a 'sexy boat' - to attract atention to his want ad. He wants to hire or part buy a boat like the one in the picture, as he does not want to spend a lot of money on the boat. So the deal is he wants to either hire the boat for a week/ month/ season at a time, or buy into the boat in a shared ownership/ timeshare scheme.

He wants sexy boat with little outlay.

Does not appear to be anything connected to the engine seller!

The picture is just an example pic he chose at random cause it looked good!

I can read the ad - But if you owned a boat like that would you rent it to family and kids for a week? Who advertise on ebay and have an italian connection

He does not actually want a race boat. He wants something like a Sunseeker Marteneque(sic)

Why the Italian connection? He lives in the South East.

I also think the HE is a SHE.... and has a long history of successfull EBAY bids and has never gotten a bad rating over 50 deals...

In the States mebbe, this kinda boating is far more commonplace there.

Tony Dowley, John Lambson and Mike Pratt at Torquay 97.

Oddly enough, that's a better photo than the one I have. Mine is scanned from the certificates we used to hand out to clients!

Wonder where he/she got it?
