I have seen this boat, and it is stunning.
From what I can find out and have seen it raced both offshore and circuit in it's day. Paris 6 hour/Chasewater 24hr and probably Rouen. Then offshore.
Appears strong and in all, great condition apart from where the present owner has rubbed back to find previous colours, and stbd rubbing strake (rubber) is missing.
I did not check to see if there might be a bit of "bowing" bearing in mind it has a very heavy engine on the back on a smallish trailer.
What I have found, and I really wanted her, is that spares for the engine will be very rare and these had a problem with the bore ovaling out and with some ali piping, none of which are available. Nor are impelers still readily available or bits for the leg or carbs.I raced these engines in ON/OI in the late 70's early 80's and they are when they run great, and this appears in fantastic order.
So if someone wanted to put he back afloat I think new power would be the way forward.
But as a classic to just have and enjoy it is stunning.
The boat is near to Southampton.
