Yeah, looks like it, since he sold it the last time it ended up down this way (Plymouth) for sale at Queen Annes Battery - but never went in the water, but looks like its moved on again!

seems a good price for it too
when taken into account a re-fit + sea star, you almost gettin the hull for free if you didnt bother with the engine

But it's got a later 2.5 on it now. Looks good value to me considering the bits Cye put on it.

I thought the boat itself was supposed to be rather scruffy (crazed) (not in a captain chaos 'crazed' kinda way, a cracked gel crazed kinda way)
Maybe that's why it's cheap.

That is a nice looking boat!, does anyone who actually owns it?
I like the way that you all refer to it as Cyes old boat, granted he fitted it out nicely but don't forget it had a winning history before that.
I would love to get it back and dust the cobwebs from the old ski.

Judging by your user name I guess you owned it before Cye (First time)??? It seems to have had a lot of owners over the last 3 years, it was for sale in a bokerage in Salcombe, I think Cye then brought it back then then ended up for sale in a bokerage in Queen Annes battery (Plymouth), now it turns up further along the South coast.

Willpower
The name Willpower comes fromt he previous owners the 'Williams' the number 53 which I also used was their house number.
Marcuss 'Willpower' on here skiied behind the boat for around 10 years.
In that time the team managed to be 7 times UK national champions and 6 times Europeon champions.
The boat has not had many owners, the Williams bought the boat new and successfully raced it for many years, I then bought the boat and again had some very successful races with it in both F2 & F3.
I then sold the boat to someone in Torquay who used it for social skiing, he owned it for around three years in which time he put a total of 14hrs on it!
I then bought the boat back and cleaned it up fitting some new bits to it.
I used the boat for training and socail skiing before selling the Hull and trailer.
The crazing of the gel coat had been there since I bought the boat from the Williams and had no affect on the boats performance what so ever.
This was simply from the boat flexing, almost all Phantom 20's that I have seen have crazing somewhere on them.
As Dan stated I do not think that this hull is really that cheap more toward the right money for a Phantom 20 in todays market.
This hull has plenty of life left in it for racing.
Also the hull was built in 1991 and not 1994.
Burty still campains a Phantom 20 successfully in Formula 2 we managed to secure another win this weekend at Cardiff in some challenging conditions at times.
Welcome to Boat Mad Marcuss - you going to join us ski racing again???

Hi Cye, Thanks for the update. I had almost forgotten just how many races the boat had won for both you and myslef. All things considdered the hull was in exceptional condition.
I have been told thismorning that I have missed out and the boat is already sold, It has gone to a local ski racer so I don't mind too much. I will have to keep in touch with him and get it when he upgrades.
It has probably been 7 or 8 years since a ski has been on my feet and I am sure that reaction times are slower (if not mine then certainly the driver! the bus pass does not include boat trasportation)
I do miss the racing and the other teams but not the politics that go with it. I have been a regular viewer of "boatmad" but the news of the willpower boat coming up for sale again prompted me to make a post on the forum.
I have attached a couple of vintage pictures the one at Varne was interesting, a couple of boats went down that day! dad has most of the photo's we could not share them digitally back then.
Well done with your racing this year, I see that you are on form.

Willpower was always the name of the boat which was written inside on the dashboard.
The boat had 'Indigo' written down the side of it when I purchased it, this was a previous sponsor.
I then removed Indigo and put Xtreme in it's place, Willpower remained as the name of the boat and I think that it is still on the dashboard now!

Amazing photo's Marcuss.
I remember seeing the first photo on your Dads wall when I first bought the boat from you.
Your driver certainly has a few good years left in him yet, look at Dave llewellyn 70 next year and still driving competitively.
I managed to drag Tony out of retirement for a while to drive his old boat a few years back he was certainly pushing me on to win.
Get the ski back out and give it a go, there are plenty of boats that would give you a tow.
What about Toquay???
