Dowdys P 25
Been on it off and on for ages,as and when we had the odd hour or two in between other jobs,9 weeks ago we decided to completely rebuild it from scratch, using the old AGFA BLUEBIRD as a template, the length is now 27 ft exact, the height has been increased by 4" an now has a dedicated 2 berth cuddy cabin,we have incorporated an anchor locker in the new mould, squared off the windscreen to look like a p28,remodelled the transom so that it is a lot stronger, stiffer and a lot more substantial, the hogs now have 2"outriggers every 18" along their length and glassed over, there is sitting headroom under the dash for two aswell as a v berth,a glassed in bulkhead where the bow tank compartment starts and another one where the anchor locker starts, plus another bulkhead where the cabin door is,the floor has been dropped by 2" and is now glassed in right where the side meets the v,every under floor compartment will be foam filled for buoyancy,we had to drop the floor so we could fit the seat suspension units,it looks right now with the 4" extra on the sides aswell. There is a pair of merc225 optis with 8 hours on them waiting to be strapped on all i need now is a double bracket not hydraulic, and a pair of 26"x12"tabs,ANYONE? Chomping at the bit now, need to get out on the water.
