approx 21.5 pitch 3 blade solid hub to fit standard merc shaft. Thinned and balanced imported from the states and run at 89.6MPH on Apache when i owned it. I would say a 9 1/2 out of 10 on the S and F scale £ 400 ono plus postage

This is the best prop for a P20 and the bernico 21 IMHO

Any thoughts on how this prop would run on a P21?

For reference I rather like how the 24p 4 blade Bravo 1 handles.......

we ran it on both bad boy and the edge, both p21's running 2.5's and it ran very well, i doubt it would feel as safe as a 4 blader but would like to think it would be a faster, you can try before you buy if you like as long as the usual rules apply (you bend it, you buy it)

Like I said, impressive, looks like there is a lot of diameter in it but it's difficult to tell off the pictures. Very good slip figure. Nice to see somebody prepared to run a proper propeller.

hey james wot experiance have you had whilst driving a phantom to know wots good or bad please tell

Hi Steve, No where near as much as yourself, but started in a Ring 20 say 1985. I've driven various 6 metre 20 18ft Phantoms and Rings never with a laser or overhub prop though. I sense you think I'm having a dig but far from it. I have been fascinated for a long time that people now seem to run over hub lasers or similar when QSS and Yam Powers were all the rage. Now I know it's horses for courses but a 2.4 200 with say a 14x24 or 26 was good for around 70-75 or so. They were still good all round props decent acceleration and sensible top end while giving good handling. I thought that you would mainly own a Phantom/Ring for the performance so when you read post's with say a 200 XR2 doing Mid late 50's why wouldn't you want to own this prop. It doesn't carry a lot of pitch so the acceleration should be good, It not got a huge rake so shouldn't carry the bow too high. You cannot argue with the efficiency because it's spot on. IMHO with that sort of grip and the large blade area it would be harder to drive than a laser but wouldn't you rather have the performance and really learn how to drive your boat than have
to settle for less than hot boat performance just to make it easier to drive. Now having read a lot of advice and posts that Burty makes you know that he had something fairly pokey on that boat and that's what I like about it because he wanted it to get near the speeds he did not just poodle around dreaming and looking flash.

Dont go forgetting guys, when Rob ran that prop on Apache, it was his JSRE 2.5 that was quote a beast .......... and revved like hell. I remember one of its early runs up southampton water ............when we got stopped by the rozzers!

I'm sure rob could fill you on the exact HP and Revs

Seem to remember Steve H running 97.64 at Coniston in an old P20 with an old steel sleeved 2.5 fishing motor turning an old Raker prop at circa 9k rpm . I'd say that was quite a beast .

No mate, it has a solid bush for a standard shaft merc as i stated in the advert

burty,im currently running a yam drag prop 24" @7500rpm on 200 xr2.Do you think your et would be quicker? oh it's on a p20 with bullet 1/2" below cheers am

dunno dude, but i am amazed you can turn a 24" prop to 7500rpm on a P20!! what gear ratio you running??

That must go well then! Best I ever managed was 6.8k turning a worked 22 chopper with 1.87 on an xr2.

7.5k with a 24 must be 80ish even with a realistic bit of slip
