Does the gearbox have any numbers on it? How many hours has it done? Is it in full working order?

The gearbox was working before it was removed but it has been stood for approximately 7 years. The oil is a nice cherry red and as far as I am aware there are no issues with this box. I do not have the numbers off the box with me today but I'll post these this evening.

Regards

Thanks for that - We are running ZF63 gearboxes with that ratio but the conversion chart I have doesn't mention the HSW800H, I will try and do some more digging and get back to you. The equivalent to our box is the HSW 630 H1

This box is out of a Fabio Buzzi 32, which was running a big block. I could get hold of another box if you need a pair. I have tried to identify this box with ZF but had no luck, they seemed to think it was a small number made specifically for Buzzi. Let me know if you need any more info.

Just need the one - trying to track down some more details about it. If there are any more markings or anything then that would be useful!

Sorry to be a pain - would it be possible tp measure the pitch circle diameter on the input side? It seems that there were only two of these made and there is no information on them which is making everything hard to identify. The diameter of the input and output shafts along with the number of splines would confirm the compatibility with our box.

Thanks very much!

Hi, can I have measurements & weight of the trimp pump. Is it supplied with electrical leads & hydraulic hose/fittings ?

Hi Cookee,

The shaft is 26 spline and 34mm diameter, the output flange is 4 bolt and the diagonal bolt hole centre to centre is 108mm. However this can be changed as this bolts on.

With regard to the trim pump, there is no hoses or fittings but it does have the wiring. I would say it weighs approximately 3-4Kg and measures 200 x 300 mm. It is an old style mercruiser pump and works fine.

Regards,

Frank

Sorry to be a pain - I have had a reply from my gearbox guy -

Quote:
To establish the SAE Bell housing dimensions I need the pitch circle dia of the bell housing bolt holes. From your photographs it appears that the box (ZF80) has eight bolt holes in the bell housing, can you re ask your man to measure the pcd.
Please?

Hi Cookee,

The gearbox is a 6 bolt fitting and the diameter of of the bell housing bolt holes centre to centre are 235mm.

Hope this helps
