I'd imagine it measures both feed and return to work it out

Aye. Better would be if it compared the LPH to the speed to give an 'economy' meter. Sure there's something even more expensive out there for that though!
I'd just need a red light on the dash saying 'warning, you can't afford this much fuel' from the moment i turn it on.
Anyhoo, shouldn't thread jack. Best of luck with the sale, great bit of kit!

From the floscan website :-
Applications
Fits all carbureted inboard and stern drive engines up to 350 hp.
Fits all EFI inboard and stern drive engines (including Mercruiser and Volvo) with closed loop fuel return systems.
Fits all Mercury Optimax, Evinrude Ficht, Yamaha HPDI, and Honda 4-stroke engines.
Fits all 2-stroke EFI outboard engines.
I had it fitted to an xr2 and a 200xs (opti)

It would work on a motor with a return hose if you return to the filter or to a catch tank provided it was placed before the filter or catch tank!
Expensive piece of kit, bought two of them this week! Steal at 100 quid!

It has a sensor with a paddle wheel that goes in line with the fuel supply.
So as long as it can be placed after the return, I would have thought it would be OK.
