Isotov GTD-350 Turbine

Who fancies a turbine project?
I have found a source for "some" Isotov GTD-350 turbines.
They are an ideal substitute for small block V8 motors, providing 400 shp@6000rpm.
If anyone fancies 1 (or 2), I'll make some further enquiries.

Nice! Out of a Mil Mi2 helicopter, I presume? Are they new old stock then, because they stopped making the Mi2 in 1985.

Looks ideal for a boat, doesn't it? Probably runs on anything you like too, being Russian. Kerosene, Paraffin, A1, Jp1 or Spry 'Crisp'n'Dry'!!

My expectation would be a couple of grand each, mebbe a bit more but not much. I've not actually asked the "how much" question yet to be honest, since how much is related to how many.

Do you have the dimensions?

Do you have the weights?

I am told they can be mounted side by side in a very small type of small space...

What would you drive? surface drives, or proper props?

Good little engines a little heavy on fuel for the power they produce and heavier than the Allison. Output shaft above engine centre line and turns opposite way to most combustion engines. Make sure before you start one run it up on 12volts for a couple seconds then switch over to 24 or you will fry the starter.

Bravo's would be on my list for drives.

Have also made enquiries about rigging em. You can fit em to bravos the way up they are, or swap the oil feeds to the bearings around and run em with the gearbox on the bottom.

Jason - good plan, thanks.
