lightened flywheel

Where can I get one for V6 merc and what would I be looking (£) at for one??
Also anyone had much experience of skimming heads and what result?

I think its a bit of a job to change over. I think you have the have the 16amp electrics also.

Yeh, I`ve been told that, but which bits of the system do you have to change is it the whole lot or just the stator?

Its a 89, but if I gotta change the whole electrics over then I may not bother. That cle casing came up a treat by the way driver510 (if I got the right person

you can just change the flywheel as long as its from the same type motor ie 40amp 16amp 8 amp charging without any trouble you just need a flywheel puller. if different charging then its a nightmare cus that involves setting the timing again

Long storry but seeing as the things sat out the front till its fixed (limped back in from Plymouth sound breakwater at 2000rpm WOT friday night) I`m just toying a few things over, that and the fact that I may have to replace the stator so I thought I could stick a lightened while its all in bits.

you can get yours lightened but dont fink it'll make alot of difference to your motor.
