Marshan 19

Now that i have a new boat it is time for me to sell my Marshan 19.
I thought perhaps I would advertise it on boatmad first to see if any one
is interested.
However if it does not sell i will put it on Ebay and Boats & Outboards.

Details:

'Nearly finished project - Marshan 19 with Mercury 150 XR2 Blackmax
outboard and snipe galvanised 4 wheel roller trailer.

Hull in VGC, original gel coat and vinyl graphics (needs a good clean before season),
new floor, carpet, upholstery, front seats (need fitting), alluminium bow fuel tank, temp,
MPH, RPM, fuel, trim guages (fuel guage needs wiring up), bilge pump, battery, nav lights,
tonneau cover, compass, foot throttle (needs fitting).
1990 Mercury 150 XR2 Black Max oil injected outboard with stainless steel laser II prop.
Engine last serviced/winterised by Marinautic in Poole 02 15/9/2006 and has not been
run since as no time to finish other items.

Looking for £3,500.00 or nearest offer or swap/part ex for nearly new galvanised twin
axle trailer for my 22 ft Baja Hammer which must be capable of carrying 1500 kg.

My copy of MIDAS doesn't list it - says by 1990 it was the xr4, but it could be wrong.

marshan

that 150xr2 is the first model which was 1984-1986. which was clam shell and 3 ram powertrim. then in 87 went over to drop over cowl and offshore saddle pt pump inside the boat. on the midas disc the xr2 is under race outboards. hope this helps.

I'm gonna contradict my earlier self. I looked up the serial no. and my copy of midas says it doesn't match anything! So If it can't find the serial number, who's to say it aint wrong about the years they produced that model too. I do know the one I owned was an 85, but if roofer reckons he also has a 90 version of the same, it looks like midas is just wrong.

Yeh, but the "real" xr2 and the 150 xr2 are completely different motors.

Just had a look at the original Mercury operation & maintenance booklet regarding spec of the engine:
Model V150 & XR2, horsepower 150, Propshaft Kilowatts 112, full throttle RPM range 5500 - 6000,
idle speed 600 - 700 RPM, Piston Displacement 122 Cu.In (1999cc), Stroke 2.65 (67.3mm),
recommended spark plug NGK - BU8H.
