Merc 2.0/2.4/2.5 EFI stuff wanted

I'm after if possible a complete EFI setup from a 2.0/2.4/2.5 (may not exist on a 2.0??) I believe I need the reed block/inlet/throttle bodies/injectors/and cover etc.. Its to go on a 2.0 or possibly a 2.4, undecided as yet.

I don't need any harnesses/looms/or ECU/VST etc etc, or even injectors for that matter but would make life easier.

Someone must have some stuff lying about from a blown engine?

Please PM me if you do if your not asking silly money. Its to be used as an experiment. Just interested to see what a merc 2 stroke runs like on modern engine management.

Very Well

Of course you'd have to change the Crankcase for a standard EFI setup if your thinking SST as 14 finger reeds.

You could adapt a MAD EFI which mounts the injectors differently.

Lazer type Injection is an easier conversion but hardly worth the bother.

If you want to play, it's a lot of work but I'd buy a complete electrics cast off from a 280 and swap out the Motorola ECU

I probably have these bits!
Will need a block half as techteam has said unless you find another way to mount injectors! Often thought about putting them in an intake spacer plate.

TBH I'm not too familiar at all on the different arrangements, hence the other post asking questions.

I agree its a little bit of a project. Providing things bolt on it wont take me long to get it running.

grandmas denture; I don't have experience of either really. Provided it works, I'm not fussed. You have given me another thought now that if a plenum can be made with single throttle body (I think I've seen these) then that would make my life easier as I'd fit a DBW (drive by wire) throttle to it. Would need to think about how to mount the injectors, but I quite like the idea of that.

You could try find a downdraft snout off a 2.5 X motor, they house the injectors inside the plenum like a laser setup but much better air flow.
