I Don't know if you have seen my recent posts, but in September i bought INSAIN from HORNET, what he neglected to tell me is that the engine had no serial numbers. So when i took it to Martin at Power Products Marine this was pointed out which means i can't insure it!
I have now had to buy a new engine and sell this one.

2003 Mercury 225xs 20" shaft v6 Optimax done around 200 hrs, the engine has had the following upgrades since I owned it to bring it up to 250hp
Carbon race reeds
Inlet trumpet
Lightened flywheel
Lightened compressor wheel
Hydrotec tunner sounds like race 2.5,
Poppet valve divert am
Low water pick up
Offshore trim bracket and in boat trim pump
ECU has been remapped by Simon motor sports in the USA at great expense to bring it up to 250xs
4 blade bunny eared cleaver prop

As you have seen from my post this has no serial numbers, I have a text from HORNET assuring me that it was purchased with the original saddle, which was sold on, hence losing the numbers, if you search Hornets posts you will find the original advert, where he claims its worth £4800?, i have had Martin check it over and print off the ECU and he will confirm is all good. I have had to buy a new engine as i have to insure the whole rig to be able to use my clubs ramp. I know own Martin £7k need to really find half that cost from the sale of the engine.
