Once in a lifetime opportunity
A rare opportunity has arisen due to unforseen personal circumstances to own probably the nicest V24 in the fleet!
My own personal V-24 is reluctantly for sale at a silly price. The boat has been totally refurbished ready to race this season; new seats, new harnesses, re-sprayed communica helmets, engine servicing, etc etc.....
This package comes complete with everything, Garmin 2010C colour plotter, fully serviced air system, new life jackets, full noise cancelling communica intercomm interfaced with icom VHF, all flares and safety kit, brand new mini flares, all spares, propellers, trailer fitted with powerlaunch system and 2005 trailer board, seat harness modification to 2005 regs, this is the only V-24 fitted with a class 1 style external safety skeleton to the canopy, the list is endless.
Current measurement certificate, entry fees to Poole and the three race series in Cowes already paid! even half a tank of fuel........
All you need to do is race!
Asking price only £27,000 complete inc.VAT
Contact Mark at Pascoe International.

This boat would cost in excess of 50K to make new! Must sell in next 10 days due to personal circumstances.

I wish! Unfortunately due to family commitments I have to buy something with a "picnic table" on the back but it makes me cry to have to spend that ammount of money on something thats 1/3 of the speed of yours.

Agreed, that encapsulated canopy, newer dash, monster chart plotter, communica intercom/helmets, etc. really does finish that boat off perfectly.
some more pics of the boat can be seen here:

I heard....
..that we would have to stump up £5k next year to race, but it would be international races, and the boats would be transported for us to the events.
..that there will be no V24 next year
..that there will be three extra boats in the Nationals next year.
..that there would be a scandinavian championship next year and UK based boats wil be able to get Swedish licences at £65 for the year
..that they are going to upgrade the engine packages for all boats and relaunch as the old ProVee lite, at 100mph
..that we will run alongside the ProVee next year, as a full blown European series as V24's
..that we will not be alowed to race BASIC races from next season
..that our measurement certificate cost will be brought into line with the other classes next season.
..that our national licences will only be £350 next year.
..that we will not be able to buy national licences next year and only international licences will be sold.
..that they are going to drop the class rules on weight and props because they can not be policed.
( and that is only in the past 6 weeks... )
The whole thing is a bunch of bollocks. I wish someone would be able to stand up and state clearly what the facts are.

And more bullsh!t per person than any other sport I have ever participated in.
I used to race touring cars, and the BS measurements there were high! - But nothing compared to the boating arena.
I would like to see more reality and less hype, but....

Given that there was Zero money in this season, and we still had 5 boats, that is an indication that sponsorship money is not that important.
We need to sort out the idea ( held in some sections ) that they can 'milk' the V24 competitors, and get the licence fees, entry fees and certificate fees brought down in line with the other classes, then that could encorage the others out there.
One thing that was sorted this year was the fighting within the class. This year was very smooth, and no problems amongst the competitors, and everyone within the group singing from the same hymnsheet!
