Phantom 18EXL (aka P19) with Merc 2.5 and roller trailer

Phantom 18EXL also known as a Phantom 19.

1997 Steve Baker Build - hull number is 007K so aptly named Goldeneye.

Striking and unique colour scheme in white/blue/yellow gelcoat.

Original contrasting vinyl upholstery in good condition.

Deep dish Merc wheel
Pro trim
Sea Star Pro steering
Foot throttle
Electric bilge pump
Internal remote trim pump
Decent battery
Racor fuel filter/water separator (replaced May 2011)
Nav lights (with removable all round white on stainless pole)
Ski eyes
Merc gauges - speed/tacho/temp/volts/water pressure
Navman digital fuel flow meter gives actual consumption and fuel used
Custom fitted canvas tonneau cover

100 litre underfloor belly tank
Small storage area under/behind back seat

Fitted with a 1999 Merc 2.5 EFI 200hp V6
Dukas reeds
Lightened flywheel
Carbon Kevlar Alien cowling
20 inch offshore mid
CLE Box
Stainless 4 blade Trophy Plus prop

Fully serviced in May 2011 with plugs, impellor, gear lube, fuel filters, flow torque kit etc.

Sat on a 4 wheel Snipe roller trailer - just had 4 new bearings, new tyres, new jockey wheel and winch strap. (I've removed the brakes as got fed up with them sticking but all parts are available from Avonride if this bothers you)

Just come back from a weeks holiday in Salcombe, she ran perfectly everywhere we went, starts first turn of the key, very easy to launch and recover on the roller trailer. Light enough to tow behind a family saloon.

Runs just over 70mph gps with a full fuel tank and our gear on board. (previous owner claimed 74 mph)

All in all a clean and tidy rig - I'm the 4th owner from new. As with many Phantoms unfortunately there is some stress cracking on the foredeck within the yellow gel. It's supposedly been there for years and not got any worse. That's all I can say to fault her.

£6495 ono

Will consider a px plus cash (from me) for a P23/25 with single/twin rig.

Located in Warsash currently sat outside my house, can be heard running in a test tank for any serious buyers.

Pics to follow....

James

Hi Lawrence,

Those running shots were out in the Solent yesterday and I have to say that at full chat there are very few other boats which provide such a raw driving experience. I stuck a tuned 280 on her a few weeks ago and it was quite an animal to hold in a straight line!

Having bought this at the beginning of the year with the intention of selling the Extreme (which was costing too much to run with an 8.2L V8) we've found that for our weekend boating it's just a bit too small (for those that don't know the P18EXL is actually 20ft LOA)

It's a shame as I've just recently spent over a grand her sorting the trailer out and getting her up to speed for the summer season.

I'm now stuck between sticking a Yanmar in the Extreme or selling that as well to buy a larger Phantom 23/25. We don't need beds as such but just more cockpit space for lounging around. I'd love to buy Alices P28 but it's a step too far at present by the time you've stuck some decent lumps on the back.

Hope you're Extreme is coming along nicely.

James

James, that seems to make sense.

Dont be fooled by the fact they're slightly older tech ............ The 225's on the back of that 28 are in wonderful condition; I should know...... I spent everyday for 2 months last summer staring at them.

James - I hope you enjoyed your visit to Salcombe and to the BananaShark factory - you picked a great day to be inside!

Hi Cookee, thanks again for showing us around the factory, your new boat really is stunning and I hope one day to be in a position to own something like that!

In the mean time yes I would consider splitting the 18EXL up - hull would need to go first followed by the trailer and engine.

Just agreed to buy Scotts P28 so she now needs to go asap.

Serious offers will be considdered.

Will also go on Ebay next week.
