its likely thats its not THAT much older, but i'd bet against it being a 96.

get the hull no. and then seach this forum for

"Phantom hull identification". all the relevant info is there.

True, but I'd still rather have a newer nice one, than an older nice one.

there has to be a better chance that the structures are still sound (i'm refering to hidden rotten timber)

Yeah true!!! When we (me and Cye) stripped everything out of my 87 and all the wood looked lovely. But I supose you cant really do that when you go to view a boat though can ya

To me the Martini graphics kinda say 86/87/88 dont ya think?

Steve Baker wasn't the quickest i've ever seen when it comes to building you a boat, but I can't believe it would take that long! (it doesn't even take TD that long)

I'm not saying its not a 96 all I'm saying is that I dont think a boat built in 96 would have martini graphics on it. The Martini graphics thing was big in the late 80's when the Martini Lancia Delta's were winning all in rallying.

Ask the owner for the serial number and/or some more photos, inside and out, as there are a few things that will give its approximate age away.

I'm pretty sure that boat was for sale last year but I cant remember what year they said it was fairly sure it wasnt 96 though, 92 or 94 I think.

That boat was on e-bay a few weeks ago with no reserve and I'm sure the auction completed. Maybe the buyer let the guy down? I did send an e-mail during the auction asking for the HIN but I never got it.
