this is probably one of though's dumb ass questions,
but why has it got its race number on its under side?
are they that easy to flip

I should have burnt that thing back in 1989. It was was built by Blu Fin in 1986.

I first raced it brand new in 1988.

Looking at it I thought it was that one [no cowling behind cockpit] not worth doing up then !! didn't it have problems from new ?

Yep! The boat was built very light, and wasn't glued together very well!

First race out the sponson skins decided to detach themselves from the main hull.

After repairs etc. we did a very rough 110 nm race in Guernsey, every time we hit a wave you could hear the stringers go "ping".

Sadly I have no good memories of that boat.

On another note, strange to see those 1995 Cowes stickers in the Ebay pictures.

I based the 2008 Round Britain "Passed Scrutineering" sticker on that design and used the same printer!
