Ring 20 Immaculate & Mint with 180 Photo's

RING 20

Ring 20 powerboat. Mike Ring designed and built Ring 20, built August 1994, in most contemporary colours: white with a yellow top deck line. This boat is a ‘minter’ in immaculate condition and has been very little used. Never raced, always kept under cover out of the sun and dry in a barn since I purchased the boat in 2006 from Simpson Marine, Newhaven. This boat has never been painted, anti-fouled or had any stickers applied and has an unscratched shiny gel coat as when it left the factory. Powered by a Mariner 175 EFI Ski 1994 engine with electronic fuel injection also in immaculate condition, power is applied via a stainless steel Hi-Five prop.

Peter Leonard Mariner Main Dealer inspection (including compression test) and full Gold service when I purchased the boat 2006 – absolutely no problems whatsoever, and again Ribs Marine Mariner Main Dealer Gold Service 2008, Christchurch, again absolutely no problems whatsoever. Only used twice since last Gold service. Starts on the button and has always worked absolutely perfectly. Engine always flushed, trailer rinsed then boat washed after every use. Full Quicksilver illuminated gauge set, including speed, engine rpm, water flow Psi, engine temp, amps (Battery charging) and two fuel gauges. Aft stainless fuel tank and also bow fore fuel tank. This Ring 20 has the later style Mark 2 deck, with all instruments positioned above the steering wheel.

Transom water skiing harness attachment points. Fuel filter water seperator in cockpit and on engine. Both fuel tanks emptied, drained and dried 2009. New Vetus fuel lines to all tanks and from tanks to engine in 2008. New battery fitted 2009.

Sitting aloft the best factory fitted Hallmark Rollercoaster ‘5’ roller and swinging rear beam trailer. With the rollers and the swinging rear beam, one man launches are extremely easy, and the boat self aligns on recovery as she’s winched in. The trailer was fully serviced when I purchased the Ring in 2006 and before I towed her home I had everything replaced by the Main Dealer, Peter Leonard Marine, Newhaven. It had a new Indespension front coupling linkage and parking brake, new suspensions units, new hubs and bearings, new full brake system front to rear, two new Indespension tyres, two new Indespension wheels, two Indespension new mudguards and new Indespension winch and winch support post when. It is still all in perfect condition and order, towing perfectly and absolutely quietly. All works like a new trailer including the parking brake function.

New Winter, heavy duty, waterproof, full boat and engine cover 2009 with a new telescopic cover support, suspended to each corner, to prevent water or dust pooling on the cover, 2009.

Never raced, used just twice per year, barn stored in the dry (£65/ month if wanted nr. Lymington) this is a mint Ring 20 that has been carefully used and coveted by a veterinary surgeon. I usually only go at 30-25 knots. I once took her to 60 and she still had plenty of throttle left. Fantastic in chop, pulling skiers, cruising or fast fishing or racing if that’s your style. Price includes yellow colour coded floating mooring lines (2008) and two yellow heavy duty tie down ratchet straps (2006). Tank full of fuel. Boat is located in Highcliffe, on South Coast (nr. Bournemouth on Dorset/ Hants border). A chance to own and enjoy a perfect unmolested immaculate Ring 20 powerboat.

All back paperwork kept in a file, to go with this Ring, including Invoices from Peter Leonard Marine, Indespension and Ribs Marine.

Only selling due to lack of available time to use. Now into wooden dinghy boatbuilding.

Please view the 180 photos of the boat, trailer, engine and paperwork taken on 17th June 2010 here:-

Wow.

If only all boats were looked after like this one! My life would be a lot easier, that's for sure!

Best of luck with the sale, that's without doubt the best, original, unmolested condition I've ever seen!

Thanks for all the kind compliments and thank-you to Boatmad for such a good forum.

Boat now sold to a Boadmad member and enthusiast which is great for the boat and her new owner.

A lucky chap indeed, the new owner.

Who bought it, if I may ask?

I'm sure the new owner wouldn't mind me saying, but I'd better ask him out of confidentiality and courtesy before putting it up. I'm sure he'll be along once he's got the keys...

Thanks again to all.
