Could well be the one that Pash bought from the U.S. as the donner kebab boat for Double 2.

Splish splash splosh

Leeway's been hard at work in CAD again. Boy does that kid design, plug & build quickly! What a dillusional tosser.

Pash sold it to leeway knowing, I believe, his intentions. and it's a Panther 30, not 28'. And has been in a serious RTA. It's a hunk of shite.

Interesting in those pics of the Magnum, & Scarab, the strong resemblence in hull form, in particular the forefoot & rail design. related me thinks.

I think you are correct, looking at the damage it could well be the Scarab I bought from the States.

Just to put the record straight.....
I sold it to a member on here on or about the 1st March this year (see post 516 of the "Planatec Project") didnt have a clue who he was and what he did - according to him he was going to repair the boat! I believe it was Gareth who told me the chaps name and what he did after Mr Leeway left Drivers with a 30 foot boat on a 24 foot trailer.

I understand that his Company has now gone into liquidation...

Well Martin, that doesn't exactly 'tally' with the conversation I had with you at the time. No doubt, there's only one of us that now remembers that eh.

Pretty similar in fact, to the conversation I had with you about your Puma cat, where I looked round it at Drivers and made it VERY clear what a rotten pile of scrap it was (I think I used the word 'shocking'), with rusty water oozing out of every joint and the worst workmanship I've ever seen, which you already knew anyway. But, by the time you had sold it to poor larby a mere few weeks later (at a considerable profit), and he had found out the hard way what a state it was in and posted here about it, your reaction was something like: 'My god!, I honestly had no idea it was like that!'.

As you say..Just to put the record straight.

What a terrible shame. And such a nice, honest, skilled and intelligent bloke too, maybe he could become a lawyer.

It looks like he's still in business, and apparently a company in Canada is interesting in licensing his RIB design!

Well I guess it'll be easy to send them the design electronically!

You could've warned me while I was over there!

Ah well eh, I seem to have a thing for buying 'projects', I like to think that I've rectified all of the workmanship issues on the puma now, especially seeing as I'm selling her...

Cheers, James

Yes, I'm sorry James, I found myself in a very awkward position. Particularly that day I met you at Drivers, where I think you'd already agreed a deal with Warren. I'm sure a few who I spoke to on here at the time would bare me out on that.

Finding myself in that position with this website is not uncommon and is one of the downsides of it.

I didn't know you, and I barely knew Warren at that time.

I'm sure it's all sorted and will make a fun boat now. All the best with the sale.

Where exactly is it for sale Larby? I do lots of browsing and with the exception of your signature I didn't know it was for sale...

I don't think you want to sell it
