Brief history of the boat.
Spent part of its life after being built and rigged at Stapley marine, Then it was moved to Basildon boat museum & put on display, unfortunately the museum closed so a new home had to be found for the boat. It ended up going into dry storage, up until six months ago the boat had to be moved once again as storage was lost. Unfortunately the boat ended up being stored outside due to cost and availability of local dry storage.
The boat is still complete as rigged by Stapley marine apart from the mercury XR2 power head which Was removed in 1992. The boat is in general good condition it has a few marks on it where it has been moved around from various locations. The rigging is complete as fitted by Stapley marine ready for it to be raced, this would all need to be gone through due to its age. The mercury XR2 engine is complete apart from the power head, I think its 89/90 engine (would need to be checked) condition of outboard components would all need to be checked over. trailer is the original one bought for the boat when it was built, in good condition as its been indoors for most of its life. The brakes will need attention before moving as one drum was sticking when last moved.
The intention was for the boat to be moved to a new museum but this has not materialised so the owner has decided that the boat should be sold as just leaving it in storage for any longer is not an affordable option.
