Do the F1 motors run left handed?

Yes, if it is still in F1 spec but you can change them. Flywheel and starter motor. Redo the timing.

Hi Burty, if this is a original 2 litre F1 ON) powerhead: first of all it is a very rare engine !!!! Keep it, keep it, will be worth a lot of money. However requires often maintenance as revs will be at at least 10000 rpms to get full power. This engine is dynamite but requires most likely a F1 boat to be happy. I have raced a somewhat similar engine on my Molinari cat. (Plenty of years ago) Should be easy to get hold of a decent 12" rig and 16:15 speedmaster gearcase for this powerhead. This powerhead is a peace of jewelry for sure !!

i have a 2L F1 on my bernico 19ft.
the engine has been altered by nicolas vanackeleyen to regular gas with standard 2l heads (26cc). it still dellivers around 280hp and revs up to 9000 rpm with a 20 inch midsection and 1:87 speedmaster gearcase. prop is a 19p 4blade offshore.

You're describing engines as F1 engines, I am a little confused, are you talking Formula one UIM class ?
best regards

So Just the heads need to be changed to run on 97 octane?

What speed you running?

Fuel pressure/ Spark plugs/oil Ratio?
