Volvo DPX

I'm needing a 1.78:1 gear set for a DPX drive or a good price on a complete drive. Anyone know where the best deals can be had? The batboat guys use 'em and, I guess, break them so there must be a source out there somewhere.

Ta.

Just bought a set of E2's. Reworked in what way?
Do you know whether E2's can be repitched...a fair amount? I'm pulling just 3200rpm and need to get that up to 3800.

My drive is a 1.59 and it's done just 50 miles. Maybe there's a deal to be done somewhere.

Cheers.

How much did you pay for your props ?
My props do give more rev's than STD.

Deal, don't like the sound of that :frown:

They were part of the total engine deal so the exact cost to me I don't know, however, the invoice that arrived with them said £1200.

Gavin, I wasn't meaning with you. If the V24's are using the 1.59 someone will want a drive at a good price.

I'm sure we can find a new home for your drive if we need to .

how many more rev's would depend on boat , my props on a light, fast 23' boat with a V8 petrol in it would give another 200 ish RPM, I'm sure my prop guys can get more if needed.

I think I'll get the ratio sorted first. By the sound of your boat, the blades will be thinned and sharp edged. Maybe a bit unsuitable for pulling 3tons. Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you re the drive in a shed.
