Wanted,mercruiser Interrupter Switch?or gear shift plate?
has anyone got an older style Shift Interrupter Switch to fit mercruiser 4.3 mid 1990's i think. been looking on ebay but just read on a this site

that they no longer make them and i have to replace the shift plate for a newer one with a newer switch. its like the one on the link above or has anyone got a newer gear shift plate with switch mounted on it?

To be honest, I don't know what's on them and it's too dark outside now. I can have a look tomorrow and see if they look like the one you show in the link. It might be good to know if they are interchangeable also?

Well, It looks the same to me but as I said before, it would be good to know if they are the same or at least interchangeable.
I've got two complete engines and two complete alpha 1 drives, not had any interest to buy them so I'll strip them for parts.

looks the same but will double check, can you pm me price inc postage. if its not the right one will just get new plate and switch (ment to be better)

I'll get a price for postage on Monday and let you know. I guess it's better if I test it first? From what I have found out, it simply gives a ground connection to the ignition to cause a stutter in the engine, allowing reduced pressure on the gearing and making it easier to come out of gear. I have also read that this switch can function but be erratic, I'll check for this also.
