Who can supply me with a new seastar helm at the best price? May consider used but only if it's in 'as new' condition. Cash waiting.

I'd have to find out. It's for a P20 with a 200 on the back, fairly sure it was a standard helm that came off if that's any help? I'm not too clued up about seastar technicalities!
It's for racing, so pro would be ideal, but I'm sure std would be sufficient?

If its for Racing with a 200 then it definately needs a 1500psi Pro depending on the Cylinder ! Is it a Seastar front mount ??

Yep, apparently it is a pro needed, which is good! It is indeed seastar front mount, the old helm got a bit knackered up.

Larby, be careful a standard helm is good enough for most applications, don't forget most systems inc. caplino run at 1000psi to run a pro helm without the correct hoses would be crazy, and messy!!!

Thanks for the tip Burty, luckily I know a very friendly hydraulics specialist who will be checking and re-making the hoses if required. Am I right in assuming they are marked to show their rating?

It was just a spare that I never used- all my boats have sea star steering. In 10 years I have never had any problem at this end

Larby: the hoses are sea star only im afraid as the fittings are unique. pro hoses are approx 180quid a set.
Trailer Blokey dude: I've never known one go wrong either, at the end of the day is only a pump with a couple of ball bearings in it

Nah, just helping build a boat for someone again, I'll never finish the revenger at this rate!!  If we need the hoses I'll give you a shout, dunno what his current ones are like yet!

I have both Std & Pro New & S/h in stock also have a set of Pro Hoses but need to check length and price !! As Burty Says they are not cheap.
We have had steering slip on Yam 130 with Std helm !! (Probably fine on a Ski boat Burty) Although the inboard is running a std helm but had to fit a torque tab on the skeg to stop it torque steering !!
