Wanted - Transom brackets

Hi everyone,

I'm needing a pair of transom brackets/boxes/gill brackets or whatever they're called!

They need to have about 4 or 5" of lift, and ideally about 7" setback, although i can cope with the setback being different. Is there anyone on here that makes them who would like to give me a price?

Alternatively i'd consider a pair of lifters, manual or hydraulic at the right price!

Cheers, James

John Cunningham has made a couple of pairs of these for me, they have 5" of setback, but they're custom made so you can have whatever you want.

They really are an outstanding piece of work.

That is, if I’m not mistaken, a picture of your boat getting wet when its not raining
Are you at playgroup tomorrow? need someone else to (Independently)take the PI*s out of my new "Import" rather than Scott and Simon

Sadly not, Although I will be nosing round it on Sunday. Have you run the motors up yet?

I wouldn't dream of taking the pee, I'm not that kind of guy!

They look lovely! What's the cost of those? They look even more expensive than what i've been quoted (which was £600 for basic boxes)

God i love your spectre!

Cheers, James

Just got a 6" setback bracket from Hydodynamics, they will make to your spec and not to pricey either.

Two photos attached of the brackets - they have been fitted with a 250 Verado with strength to spare, and I reckon they would do for pretty much anything including the big Yamahas.

Set back is: 220mm

Height difference is:120mm or 140mm depending on which way up you have it.

The brackets can be trimmed and are designed to be fitted low down on the transom so that you can do away with the splashwell part of the transom as can be seen in the photos.

Price is £250.00 + VAT plus delivery.

Thanks to everyone for the offers, I've now gone with a set of preloved 6" setback manual lifters. At least that way i can adjust the height for testing without having to unbolt the motor all the time

Cheers, James
