Wanted - XR2 piston and possibly head

Evening all, it's been a while!

I need a piston for an XR2, starboard side middle piston. Acquired one which has done a ring. The head is also fairly well peppered so if someone has one of those spare I'd be interested too.

While I'm at it, I could do with a sandwich plate in any old condition, just to scan bolt locations etc for an adaptor.

Give me a text or call on 07781 122363 if you prefer.

Cheers,

James

Beyondhelp - thanks for the offer but don't want to buy another complete motor, just got this one!

Techteam- thanks, that'd be a great help. Put a pair of verniers in there the other day and it measured 79.4 or there abouts, so I'd call that standard plus a bit of past honing? Hopefully I can get any scoring out fairly easily, I can't feel anything too tragic in there.

Cheers, James

Hi mate,

Got a couple of 2l heads in the shed that have been robbed for parts - not sure if xr2 pistons are different to your 'bog standard' 2l carb motor? Anyways if they're the same you're more than welcome to try and get one out ☺

Definitely got a sandwich plate or two if you're still needing to trace the bolt patterns

Cheers,
Ollie

Hi Ollie,

That's great, thanks! I sent you a text but not sure if you got it, can you PM me your number?
