Complete revision my a**e!!!. I've got that motor in the workshop and it's shagged. It's done a lot more than no hours and who ever rebuilt it need a bood battering. Paid 1500 euro for it and when the damage was discovered the vendor told us to effectively 'go fornicate yourself'. If I was any good at uploading photos I'd show the damage and it's not pretty.

Dear Moose, Roy is well aware that engine was not mine!
So if you write something, please give name who sold you the engine. I only delivered the engine to Roy!

Sorry Giovanni I've got my names mixed up - it was of course Diago Testa who sold the power head to Roy. You merely helped out with the collection etc. Roy did say that it was awkward for you being the middle man and of course the state of the engine is not down to you.

However, for the record here are a couple of pictures now I've been educated how to do it:

So with an XR2 motor in this condition whats the next move ?Is it repairable ?
Does it have to be re bored or re lined
What sort of cost is involved?

Big D the answer is simple - usually a concrete block is used for a mooring 'dead man', however at present I have an alternative and it's free of charge. I'll even deliver it free of charge!!

Just to make it really clear Giovanni is TOTALLY IN THE CLEAR with regard the sale of the powerheads in question, and therefore should not affect his standing with regard to buying/selling on this or any other site as a result.

Many thanks

Moose.
