i think it is and i dont think it's new.rebuilt maybe .dont get rusty head bolts on a new engine + merc dont make the xr2 any more. so unless it bin on the shelf in some ones garage for the last 5 years may bee!

Why ask me a question and then dispute my answer? I have said it is 1999 with no mods and no rebuild. It has been around for a while as a spare engine but never used.

BEST OFFER.
Frog unfortunatly XR2's are not worth that much anymore.
This is mainly due to it being banned from most class's of racing.
Whilst you may have paid a lot more than this for it, and a good rebuild would cost around £1200 the top price for any XR2 powerhead is only going to be around £2000-2300.
This is great if you are looking to buy one, but bad if you are selling one.
