i remember
i remember racing a 2lt and 4lt three pointer
and yes they do take some setting up to get the best out of them,i think it took jim and i 1 year to get the 2lt one sorted , that was after 3 years of...

the rpm for a 300 pro max is 5800 to 6100
the rpm for a 300x pro max is a little more
the power out of a 300 promax is about 285 hp
the power out of a 300x is about 320 hp

an engine at 6500 with no load may throw a rod out ,having said that i think an engine with a rod out the block may still get to 6500 rpm :confused:

rotate
turning the props inwards should be faster but you lose handling , if the engines are to high you lose drive and speed and the boat will runalong with the bow to low,
