Carbs may look the same but the circuitry may be different. What is the number on the top of the carb behind the steel plates. It should read WH-??

The jets in the top of the carbs are bowl vent...

How big was modVP racing in the UK? I would have loved to race that class.
We have never realy had any big powerboat racing over here, not since the 80's early 90's. Hopefully this is changing now.....

Grind a flat section below the rings on the side...

Grind a flat section below the rings on the side of the piston the width of the bridge. Drill two 3mm holes in the side of the piston in line with the bridge.
Reduces wear & allows induction charge...

As far as I know there's no difference between BP's and other merc V6.

Heads, 40 ft/lbs
Rods, 30ft/lbs
Exhaust chest, 180in/lbs
Crankcase small, 200in/lbs
Crankcase large, 34ft/lbs
