Well at last i've found something :banana: whilst peering through the sender hole today i thought i saw something so armed with a "long grab" i went fishing and pulled out a 5" piece of insulation...

The carb was stripped at the same time as...
The carb was stripped at the same time as replacing pump etc and was immaculately clean but will be stripping again this weekend .. just in case..
:) new coil purchased today & will order...
