just get a new jackplate, the latter cmc lifts have wider slide bearings, but i still wouldn't go back to cmc after having a Gorilla 3!

Thats a older style CMC jackplate, it will have play in it because of the design even a new cmc jack plate has play to allow it to slide, but its proberly very tired by now so has big play.
