Mercury 2.5 For sale

Hi,

I'm selling my Mercury 2.5 260 Hp. This engine has 20" midsection and 1.87 gear box. The lower unit is CLE but it has low water pickups.

I attach pic of this engine.

Saw it on B+O he wanted bundles for it 8k if i remember rightly. But it had just been rebuilt. Think he's a skiracer but dont know him.

Hi again,

We want for the engine 6K Steerling pound.
The engine was used for ski racing the last summer only 5 hours on a ring 21ft.

Considering the price they can be bought for in this country and the amount it would cost in shipping etc it is very costly.

I'd agree with Mr Rob on pricing, they have a higher net value in Spain for sure.
For the UK you would be needing to look at about a 25% price reduction to sell it, possible Scandanavian Market though higher values there.

I know the price in UK is very lower but bring the engine to Spain is very expensive.

I will try to sell the engine localy!!

Nowt wrong on posting it here it's a well read forum from all over, not just the UK.
Local markets vary a great deal. I weep every time I go on Scream & Fly but but the time you get it with all the add ons.....

Think we should all lobby our govenments to remove duty for all powerboats, engines & Parts..................Up the revolution power to the Powerboater

What we need is a friendly US based boatmad member that's willing to source the parts and export them direct to the UK - maybe even just 3 or 4 times a year in bulk.

Anyone willing???
