Water pressure

That was another question:

I was asked if I was getting the correct water pressure in the engines. How on earth would I know if I was or not?
Is there a gizmo you attach to the engine?

Also regarding air pressures, is there a gizmo I can use to check that in the engine?

most people run water pressure guages to make sure the engines are picking up water. not sure about air pressure but i'm sure there is some sort of anemometer or manometer you could use

U can get water pressure kits anywhere and fit them to any engine. Take about 20 minutes if that to fit one.

It would take you 10 minutes to take the cover off the boat and decide where to put the gauge and run the pipe etc. Then 10 minutes at the end to put your tools away pick up all the ends of the cable ties that are all over the floor of the boat, sweep up the mess from where you drilled a hole to put the gauge in and then put the cover back on the boat. All that and actully fitting the gauge, best part of an hour I reckon

Does that 20 minutes start from when you decide your going to fit it or from when you there in the boat, engine cowl off, gauge in one hand and power drill in the other.

No it did not break first time out. Had to stop for a few minor adjustments! The water pressure gauge worked perfectly!

Fek Off! it would take like 20 mins to run the pipe neatly, 20mins to drill hole and fit guage and 20 mins to connect both ends.
then you need to test it to make sure you have no leaks.
