Who needs a 30 year old Lorne Campbell designed wooden cat with an inboard?

The market is the market.

I bought it !

Though it cost 301 and change more than it should have but a bid was put on while i was taliking to seller

I would have gone a lot more as its got lots of history and has been a well kept vessel

all it needs now is to officially get over 100

Wow that's a lot of boat for no money amazing!!! If that was a car with that much history and rarity it would have gone for 50k plus.

Enjoy your new boat and keep up to date on how she runs including some pics if possible

without an engine....never!....but you must be a mind reader

Because I only came across this boat while I was looking for a an engine for a car...and this engine would be verrrry nice in all sorts of hot rods

But this lump is going to stay where it is for now....boat was born with it so boat should keep it

Had a long talk with owners wife as he is unable to speak for medical reasons but the boat certainly seems to have been well taken care over many years. Its got two props but dont know their spec yet. dont recognise the V drive, she couldnt tell me the engine build spec but Im hoping its got decent heads, and rotating assembly etc as I wouldnt have thought anyone would drop 4 downdrafts on it without making sure the rest was sorted

anyway....I wont actually see the boat til middle of march. Then I will have a good poke around before I put her in the water and get back to you all with a write up, pics, youtube etc

Im confident she will be as good in the wood as it looks in the pics

Thanks for interest

And while Im here scribbling~ a little off thread~

Has any seen 'BP PACESETTER' on the island or down south recently as I have a burning desire to have a little chat with the 'gentlemen' who acquired her from me....

Dynaplane have you just acquired the bargain of the century or what ? 100 mph for not a lot of bread but a he'll of a lot of boat to float ! Just take care on the corners not to sharp or too much power.
I turned my 21 Lorne C cat over twice -racing and trying a lot too hard !
Good luck with the project.

With a boat like that, you should join a club for classic boats - like COPC (www.classicoffshore.com)
We'd be glad to "have you aboard" !!!
