Dateline Bikini
Afternoon all,
Wondered if anyone can help....I have inherited/received what I have been told is a Dateline Bikini 15ft (pick it up tomorrow so pictures to come).
What I am after is any info that people maybe able to shed on either the boat "dateline" or the model "bikini"....any where I might get some original documentation.
The boat is in reasonable condition and I am looking to make this my next project after build our house (another story). I want to bring it back to originality with a few modern tweaks but I am really struggling to find any info at all online. I have come across some threads else where but not that indepth.
Anyway any pointers will be gratefully received.
Thanks in Advance
Phil

What would you like to know? Had one for years.
See attached Dateline brochure for both the Bikini and Bounty, courtesy of Bogi way back.
Here is a wee clip of my old one. Did about 55 knots in the end with 90 hp and a massive Raker i believe it was. Great boat!!

Thanks NorwegianBoater.
What I am after is knowing the original boat....colours, internal instruments, best practice etc.
I have a boat that has been played around with too much and I want to get some sort of perspective back to the original boat.
It is a little project of mine for the winter coming ready for next season....I might be putting too much thought in to but it will keep me out of trouble for a few months!
So any info is will be received with open arms.
Cheers

Cool!
Back in the day from the factory they did a match between engine choice and colour on the boat as you can see from the brochure. Post some pictures when you have the chance, easier to give pointers
