South Coast Poker run 2014

Ok I am starting a new thread for this event to make everthing a bit clearer.

The party will be held at drivers BUT not organised by drivers. The costings are being finalised before entry fees are released. As it stands the event will not be cancelled and the proposal is to have the sunday as a layday.

Mike Lloyd will post more info this week.
There will possibly be a theme and the usual shindig.
We hope to see the usual suspects and new faces.

i have done a facebook event so please take a look for south coast poker run and keep an eye on that.

Due to numbers and logistics it will be first come first serve and we will be looking at capping numbers.
The general idea for this is a few of us want to do it and openly invite all to it.

Looking forward to seeing you all!

The Event invite page! please take a look here too for updates.

This event could possibly become first come first serve should the demand become too great and numbers have to be capped. So as soon as we release more info please get the deposits in asap to ensure your place.

what is it?

So here is for all you guys who have never done an event like this.....
Day:- (The poker Run) According to Wikipedia "A poker run is an organized event where participants, usually using motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, boats, snowmobiles, horses, or other means of transportation must visit five to seven checkpoints, drawing a playing card at each one. The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run. The event has a time limit, however the participants are not timed—winning is purely a matter of chance"
Night: BBQ, Live Music and DJ etc etc

As it stands, entry will be £55.00 but this is not confirmed and is to give you guys a ball park figure. this could change and you will be notified in due course

Burty, there's a public slip just up the road,if you don't need a crane. The last time I used it I think it was free, don't quote me on that tho.

A double sided A4 leaflet is being put together for us now which will give you all an overview of the event with how the day & evening is going to pan out, what it's going to cost you and what you will be getting for your buck. The intention is to get those who want to have some fun committed and that in a couple of months a full detailed brochure will be produced which will give everyone ALL the info they need to take part. Many thanks to Lawrence for his help here.

Also, many thanks to Vee Ganjavin and Paul Hastings for their huge enthusiasm in making this all happen and of course Gill & Gareth @ Drivers without whom this event wouldn't be taking place.

It's going to be a GREAT day & evening running from 08.30am until midnight (or thereabouts). If we can be as successful as the last Poker Run out of Drivers a few years ago we and everyone else will be VERY pleased.
