Obviously this is just my opinion but to attend an event that only takes place once a year and be trapped on a ferry with poor visibility and little sound tracks is not my idea of a good time!

That is what i heard i was very lucky last year as got out on boat with Iris and Suzy and family and Zoe went with Vincent and co on a rib and Georgia went in another boat with Max but i did hear from quite a few that the Red Jet was rubbish so to pay £20 each and see nothing maybe a no goer! Spot on Jon, you must have been spying on me with that big lens ... oo err ... we will miss you this year, however I'm sure you will have a great time at the Nascar event and the weather is bound to be warmer than on top of the fort

Rob, I'm almost certain it was, although I do recall taking to people, I don't completely recall the conversation ... must be an age thing ... oh dear things are defiantly getting foggy, however if you are their I will look forward to catching up as I don't think I could make it to Cowes and then onto Fort Albert before the start, or for that matter even the finish of the race

I have booked on the Red Jet as press so I should be ok but if there is any body going out to the first turn mark after the start,'Two Bouys' I think and willing to take a photographer get in touch.

I have to say that the run up the Solent last year was for me as good as the start itself, so anybody thinking of going on the Red Jet will not be disappointed if they get to go outside during the stint westwards - photo opportunities are rarely so good if like me you don't have a Robinson R22 to call upon for some nice shots.......................!

Its DIFFUSERS, off Teignmouth , also known as Teignmouth Outfall buoy.
From there NE to Exmouth DZ Buoy, then back to Portland.

The return of The Dragon - Arpo becomes Smokin' Aces !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was down West Bay Last week for a couple of days break And whilst enjoying a cone of Dorsets finest ice cream sat on the west breakwater next to the slipway A very large Mono turned up on a trailer, Well when the crew unwrapped it it was Jackie Hunts old boat ARPRO Renamed "Smokin Aces".
Chatting to a very nice young lady with the crew she told me they had only finished the installation of the twin Illmors that morning, And they were slipping her in for a test ready for the CTC. Those Illmors did sound good thrashing up and down just off west bay!! Got some Pics but cant seem to post them?? Wot am i doing wrong?
