Just a point for consideration that they should be changed in pairs from the same batch or you may get one bank firing before the other.

Thanks for this. That is the same advice I've found on my various searches online. I had a new one fitted 12months ago and realised later that ideally, both should have been changed. Would have been a hefty bill at the time.

I know that pain.. I just changed both of mine and the stator with CDI units. Unlike the Merc stuff they should hopefully last forever now.

Try engine room marine in haling island,nearly half price as mercury or versatile marine on ebay, we got 2 brand new for less than £200 from there
