That's suprisingly low hours, coz it must have taken you 1/2 an hour to manouvre in this lock!

Tony any observant boater would have noticed the port drive (that's the left for you) was stuck in gear when we were exiting the lock.
But apart from that its maiden voyage after the rebuild was faultless!

Red Devil

With the summer being so poor up here this year I have had it in the water once and never got a chance to run the motors in.

The old owner recons around 110mph but I think that might be a little optimistic.
The engines now make between 650-700hp depending on timing and boost with a drive ratio of 1.36-1 it should be a quick boat.

Its a 2005 4X4 powerstroke diesel F350 Dually with a towing capacity of 17000 pounds yep that right nearly 8 ton!

The truck has not had its GVW reduced to 3500kgs like most so you can tow legally up to 8 ton and 12 meters in length.

Tax group is private HGV £160 year.

Price needs to be around 20k but I cant let here go until I sell the boat.

The outfit is up here in Newcastle Tyne and Wear

If anyone is buying an American truck for towing boats go with a 4x4 option they have high and low ratio and will pull most boats from any slipway.

The two wheel drive models have very little weight over the back end and tend to spin there wheels easily.
