Good find.. but the commentator is a and knows jack shit... since when did AK's fire .308 ? They use 7.62 X 39/Short not 7.62 X 51 NATO (which is the NEARLY the same as .308 Winchester - they actually have different headspace although people can and do interchange the two.)....

The AK47 uses 7.62 x 39mm

The AK74 S uses 5.45 x 39mm

Isralie copies of the AK74S use 5.56 x 45mm

South African copies of the AK74S use 5.56 x 45mm

The M16 uses 5.56 x 45mm which is STANAG 4172 aka NATO STANDARD

(Previous NATO standard issue was 7.62 × 51mm)

Some halfwitt who sees the rifle would not be able to determine that the AK74S is not an AK47, or determine it is a South African derivative for example. He will be able to read the box of ammunition and read NATO STANDARD, so it is entirely possible.

Eh ? The AK 47 is what the bloke was refering to.. not 74 or derivatives.

What is possible?

I was just pointing out that the Numbskull on the clip seemed to think the AK47 fired .308 Winchester, which proves he know Jack and shouldn't be allowed out on his own...

(I have checked and note there is also a difference between .223 Rem and 5.56 X45.. similar to the .308/7.62 X 51)

Can you tell the difference between the AK47 and the AK74S? I cant tell the difference from sight, I have to get my hands on one, and I have shot both.. They all look like an AK looks.. I am assuming he see's the AK74S and says AK47. Most people 99.999% would see an AK74S and say they saw an AK47.

If you are brave you can shoot .223 Remmington. Though you have to be brave. Many people mistake the ammo for the .223 Remmington, as visually they are the same, and the .223 is the exact same caliber.

It matters not, what you or I can or can't do..... What makes you assume he sees an AK74s..? Nothing in the clip alludes to that. He mereley states that the AK47 fires a .308..My point was that the AK47.. to which he refers.. cannot fire a .308 round which he says it can..

Yeah..and you “can” put 7.62 X 51 through a rifle chambered for .308 Win.. so what? The whole point of my comment, which you seem unable to grasp is that the commentator is a who should not be making comment on things he can't even grasp the basics of..

Duh.

My error.

I missed that - I thought he said NATO rounds.... and I wondered why you had an issue with that.

Not bad.....
...................but I bet he can't put a Rowntrees Fruit Pastille in his mouth without chewing it.

Seriously, what's so special about it? 50cal has been around since the Earth cooled.
The Merkins had the 50 cal M60 machine gun in Vietnam and they still lost.

Looks cool though. Now, if they made a PISTOL* version! In nickel...with wood grips.....

*Yeah, I know, but the Desert Eagle 50 cal doesn't take that round.

I've been digging around Google, 'cause I know that the Merkins are prone to bouts of insanity... and came up with a guy who had built a T/C Contender in .600 Nitro Express... having fired one in 45/70... which feckn' hurt... I didn't have to guess what was gonna happen when he squeezed the trigger...
