Nicks is a 'Vanquish S'. quite different.
I was told (by nick) that the 7s are prone to heater matrix failure, which requires the whole dash removing....very spensive repair.

Yeah the DB9 is much nicer, but its also out of my current Budget, hence the DB7. Im not after a performance car, grown out of that. I just want something nice to tame the wifes driving down. (She wants a Noble!).

Volvo Estate? Or maybe a 109 Land Rover, that'll tame her plenty.

Top Gear reckon the DB7 is pants.
I suggested the Jag XKR 4.2 supercharged, but she's not keen on that.
Id like to buy a good E-type Convertible (cos it makes financial sense) but that wouldnt be practical for the annual mileage required.
Looked through the current listing of cars available in the UK, and well, Yawn they are all pretty bland.
Is the Camaro available in the UK yet?
Might have to look at the Porsche GT3, though id rather burn money than put it in the direction of the "Bosch".
Its causing me drama as i dont have much time available to shop for poxy cars and the wife's constantly suggesting outragous cars.

Merc SL 55 AMG, Audi R8 if available, last of the Honda NSX, or maybe a car from a different price range Nissan 350Z cabriolet

Merc's "Bosch", Audi's "Bosch", the NSX has been on the list before but is to committed.
Had a UK 300ZX Twin Turbo off Alan Prebble's brother followed by the bitterly dissapointing (Clarkson your a Co*k) 350Z previously.
Im really looking for a comfortable, good looking GT car shouting "Old Boys Club" that will hold the wifes furs, jewelry and shopping with ease, hence the Aston Martin. Also it will help the "Bad Boy done Good" Image and ensure my continued support of the hardest working people in Europe. The English.

Surely nobody buys a car on the recommendation of a nob like Clarkeson, it's entertaining tv, but taking his advice would be like buying Frosties coz Tony the Tiger say's they're great!

Your absolutely right guys, no sound minded human being would ever buy a car on the recommendation of a nob like Clarkson.
I bought the 350Z because the 300ZX Twin Turbo was, and still is the best sportscar i have ever driven for the money. (£42k new in 1991).
Clarkson reckoned the 350Z was brilliant and the best in its class.
Now I concede that the new price of the 350Z was £30k and so you couldnt expect it to be as good as the 300ZX Twin Turbo which was £42k 10 years previously, but honestly, it wasnt even half the car the 300ZX Twin Turbo was.
I cant believe i sold that 300ZX for less than £5k three years ago.
Nissan went oh so wrong there.
Oh and TD, isnt it about time you changed your signature?
Oh and the 300ZX wasnt all roses! Buying one was the cheap part, running them was exhorbitant, they eat tyres at £150 a pop in no time, fuel, Synthetic oil, brakes, suspension components, rear axle oil coolers, knock sensors, turbo's etc. Never had a bill for less than £1k everytime she went into the garage which was frequently, but for all that the engine was an absolute animal and handling so sure for such a heavy car.
Was hoping the 350Z was going to get the Turbo's but it appears that it was costing Nissan too much to have two cars in their range competing against each other, there were ZX Fan's and GTR Fan's. Nissan decided to roll all the good stuff into the new GTR which promises to be an absolute corker if you are a four wheel drive fan.
It appears that the Car market has gone the same way as the Boat Market, Pete Tong.
