Boatmad Forum Idea-Calender

This is only a suggestion and it might be because I don't understand what its on here for but would it not be usefull to use the Calender section on here to record some of the events that are due to take place this year as there seems to be quite a few addtional events that are not included in the RYA calender,it would save having to search various threads to recall information.obviously racers would be organised and know whats going on but spectators might find it usefull.and organisers would hopefully find it usefull to promote their event,Only my thoughts

Best post for while here
Better than going around all the other sites to cherrypick events,

as a spectator and suporter of powerboat racing this would be great,
would be able to find out about events without having to but in on conversations (threads) between racers

I've changed the permissions so that anyone can add an event to the forum calendar.

We'll see how that goes, anyone who knows of an event that might be interesting, pop it in, nothing stupid please.
The system seems to need not only dates, but times as well, which is a pain, I'll see if I can get round this, but for now, just stick in start & finish times to keep the system happy.

If the membership manage to keep it sensible, it will indeed be a good thing, thanks for the suggestion Nic.

If they don't, it'll have to be a moderator only input, so don't spoil it.

I've filled in the Cowes weekend as a starter.
