Hi Big Lad,

We're going to Coniston. Taking the JT250 and the GT15.
Ben seized the JT250 at Carr Mill on Saturday testing for Coniston, I think we may have gone slightly too high and this caused a water issue or rather lack of it.
Talking to Alison on Saturday, she'd received ten entries to date including a couple of largish offshore boats.
I would think that Bob McCarthy will be going along with his support crew of Jeremy and Fat Boy Slim. ( Malc Goodman says we'll drink you lot under the table this year- Again!!!!!)
Only hydro I know going is Nigel with the 350.
How many boats are you taking?
When are you going up?
Taff

2 boats, both the veldens are going. We are heading up early saturday morning. Keith has booked us a couple of cottages for us all. As for malcom, drinking is about the only record he will get.

I'll be there Monday afternoon with the Rib, and I heard that Vee is taking the P1 Hustler up again - can anyone else confirm the rumour that there may be an Evolution P1 boat going as well?

I am doing an article for Sports Boat and Rib, so if anyone has stories to tell bring them on!

Entirely dependent on the weather, people run right up till the last minute friday if the conditions are good.

Long range weather forcast is good all week. If it is correct the wind will be lowest on monday. Its not very windy all week though according to the met. Good news!

Thurs and fri can get pretty intense if the weather is good with all the boats going out who have waited for the best conditions for high speed runs.

Any day is worth coming to have a look though. Always something going on.

As for hotels, ring any in Coniston and cross your fingers, normally get pretty full.
The bull, crown, sun etc etc.

If you have a look on the records week site there are some links:-
www.conistonpowerboatrecords.co.uk

The Tourist Info Centre is 01539 441533.

Everything is pretty close to the village which is good for the social aspect in the evenings.

Big guy,

Malc's not taking a boat this year so god help us all.
I notice that things are still very quiet on the OCR front. Mr. McCarthy and crew must be planning something special.
Hunton if you do come up come over and say hello. I'll be there with our 2 junior boats driven by my son Ben Morse.
It'll be nice to put a face to some of the guys on here.
