Out of interest, rumor has it that the bloke who designed it showed it to all of the major saw manufacturers a couple of years ago and none of them would take it up.

Fast forward a couple of years and a poor bloke in the USA looses a finger on a circular saw. His solicitor tries to sue the manufacturer because they were in full knowledge of the 'saw-stop' and had they fitted the system the accident would not have occurred. The victim of the accident has supposedly been awarded in excess of $1 million.

i believe the safety cartride is too expensive and people think the chance of losing a finger is worth the risk against the extra money they would spend..bit like air bags, totally useless untill you need em
