This is the noughties, I like the rest of my generation live in a state of CPA ( that's 'Continuous Partial Attention' to you ) ... this state of mind enables me to post on this website, watch sky news, check out the HR girl, send a text to the sandwich shop to order lunch and at the same time chuck around a couple of bar of someone else's money in the markets.
How many people have you banned then ? Maybe there would be a market for a site called bannedboatmaddersreunited.com

Rumour has it that most jobs are better than a "smoker broker".

I was alluding to the fact that certain boatmadders past and present may see you as a Hugo Weaving type of character ... you know .... theoretically perfect, conscienceless, unbiased and unflappable, but, in reality ( or so the film goes ) rather easily ticked off
how was your porker run ?

Interesting! I don't remember claiming, or pretending to be any of the above! Except of course, 'rather easily ticked off'.
Poker run was really very good indeed, thanks mainly to the weather, good support from the boating community, and a load of hard graft from the boys & girls at Drivers Wharf.
I assume you've browsed the pictures: (all 613 of em)
http://media.boatmad.com/gallery/v/events/pokerrun2006/
And the snippet of video:
http://media.boatmad.com/gallery/v/m...un-06.wmv.html
Already looking forward to the next.

I have a neighbour who used to be a broker, funny enough, he's a taxi driver as well as teaching at a private school.
Really nice bloke, but his brain was burnt out years ago.
